Tips on Designing reports for RTC

[tweetmeme source=”meta_tweets” only_single=false]

A great blog from the Microsoft Dynamics Nav Team blog, it has the title

Designing reports for better performance on RTC II (page file)

The blog looks into improving the performance of reports on RTC II, one of the ways to do this is to increase the page file size so windows can store more information on the machine.

I would also suggest reading this article – Designing reports for better performance on RTC which is the first article about designing reports from the NAV team blog.

We recently had a problem at Metaphorix which you should also watch out for

It turned out the problem was not with dataset, but with sheets in Excel. This report had document style layout, and from RTC it prints OK, it can be exported to PDF, but not to excel due of limitation of excel.
